Most of our guests book and rebook a number of months in advance to secure the best chalets in the best ski resorts in France. However, every year we always have guests who are looking for last minute skiing holidays. We will have less availability and you’ll have less choice, but you could wait until the last minute to save money on your ski holiday.
Who said you have to book your ski holidays far in advance? At Ski Vertigo, we have a range of last-minute ski holidays ready and waiting for you to book. Once the season is under way, you could soon be in one of the French Alps’ finest resorts, skiing or snowboarding down the greatest slopes in Europe and enjoying everything that comes with the ski lifestyle!

How do Last Minute Ski Holidays Work?
In order to book onto one of our incredible last minute ski holidays, all you have to do is give us a call, and we’ll help you sort the rest. One of the greatest things about last minute ski holidays with Ski Vertigo is that we work together with you to book your perfect holiday.
We normally have spaces for couples, solo skiers and small group bookings. So you will still be able to choose the resort and chalet you would like to stay in, but if you’re flexible on those details, even better!
We are passionate skiers and professionals in the travel operator world. All our ski trips have flights, transfers, chalet accommodation, and catering included in the price. And we’re ABTA and ATOL protected! So, really, the biggest job you have when it comes to booking your last minute ski holiday is to get the time off work!

Last minute chalets across the French Alps
All of our ski holidays include accommodation in a quintessential alpine ski chalet. Even the last-minute ones! So when it comes to last minute ski holidays, you sacrifice nothing and gain everything!
In our chalets, you will have everything you need, such as ensuite bathrooms, cosy living areas, and many chalets even have ski-in, ski-out features. But, we don’t stop at that! Some chalets have special extras, such as hot tubs, saunas, and bedroom balconies that overlook the mountains.
Furthermore, on a Ski Vertigo holiday, we provide you with a lovely dining experience. Breakfasts, afternoon teas and cakes, canapés, evening meals, and wine are all provided to you in your very own chalet. There’s nothing but the best for our guests!
The best resorts for booking late
A last minute ski holiday only works if the snow is reliable. All five of our resorts sit high in the French Alps, so late bookers are not gambling on conditions. Val Thorens is Europe's highest resort at 2,300 m. Tignes and Val d'Isère share the Espace Killy with skiing up to 3,456 m and a glacier. Reberty 2000 sits slope-side in the Three Valleys, and La Plagne's Paradiski area tops out above 3,000 m.

Packing doesn’t need to be complicated, focus on essentials that will keep you warm, comfortable, and ready for the slopes. A good base layer, a warm mid-layer, waterproof outerwear, gloves, goggles, and something cosy for the chalet evenings are all you need.
Don’t forget one of the small but important chalet essentials: in-chalet shoes. Whether that’s your favourite pair of cosy slippers or your trusty crocs, you’ll need something to slip on inside the chalet that will keep your feet warm and comfortable after a day on the slopes.
A small day backpack is always handy for carrying items on the slopes, and if you’re lucky enough to secure one of our chalets with a hot tub be sure to pack your swimwear! If you don’t have your own ski equipment no need to worry, we can arrange everything ready for your arrival. Last minute ski holidays: your questions answered
How late can I book a ski holiday?
Right up to a few days before departure, subject to flight availability. Most of our last minute bookings are made two to four weeks out. Call us and we can usually confirm chalet, flights and transfers in one conversation.
Are last minute ski holidays actually cheaper?
Often, yes. When a chalet has unsold rooms close to departure we would rather offer them at a reduced price than leave them empty. The trade-off is choice: you take the weeks and rooms that are left rather than picking exactly what you want.
What is included in a last minute deal?
Exactly the same as any Ski Vertigo holiday: return flights, coach transfers, and catered chalet board with breakfast, afternoon tea and a three course dinner with wine on six nights. Late bookers sacrifice choice, not quality.
Can you sort lift passes and ski hire at short notice?
Yes. We pre-book lift passes, hire and lessons for you even on bookings made days before departure, so you skip the resort queues and pay less than walk-up rates.
Do you have space for couples and solo skiers?
Usually, yes. Late availability is most often odd rooms in shared chalets, which is ideal for two people or a solo traveller who enjoys sociable chalet dining.
Is a late booking still financially protected?
Yes. Every booking is ABTOT and ATOL protected regardless of when you make it.
